Anticipation for Precipitation
Hey eager beavers, if you’re itching for the flakes to fall, you’re not alone. On the last day of summer, Sept 21, Sierra was teased with the first snowfall of the 17/18 season. A few weeks have gone by, but we think Old Man Winter is ready to wake up to deliver the goods. Of course, your snow dances may persuade him to stop hitting that snooze button (1 like = 1 prayer)!
The Sierra team couldn’t be more excited to have another bountiful South Lake Tahoe winter. We’re a stones throw from the Bay Area, but are still gifted with an average of 460 inches of snowfall per year, and you bet your bottom dollar that when the snow starts flyin’ again, we’ll be ready. We’re prepping runs for optimum carvability and fine-tuning our operations for maximum unseriousness. We’re ready for more days like this, are you?!
Here are a few ways you shredders can prepare for this season:
Get your pass! If you haven’t already picked up your 17/18 ticket to rip it, you better act fast. As of today, you can have access to unlimited skiing/riding all season for $459. You can also buy your season pass at our newly-opened storefront in South Lake Tahoe. It’s right by the “Y” intersection, so you can ask yourself “Y” you procrastinated so much and get your life back in order. Skip that first-day bummer of having to wait in line to purchase a pass while your friends are out pow surfing already! At our in-town location, you can do all this and make your dreams come true.
A few of the enticing pass holder benefits included with your purchase of an UNLIMITED pass:
- A Powder Alliance Membership. With this prestigious honor, you have 3 FREE days of riding at the 15 participating Powder Alliance resorts. Applying advanced mathematics techniques, that comes to 45 free days in the US, Canada, South America, and Japan!
- BFF Tickets. For just $50, your non-pass holding friends can join you on the slopes. Unlimited pass holders get 4 BFF tickets, and Value pass holders get 2. Don’t have that many friends? Same. But hey, there’s always time to make a few in the Après scene!
- Free Fridays. On select Fridays, you can bring a friend to ski/ride for free. Pretty cool huh? The dates of these Fridays are those on or before 12/15/2017, on 1/5/2018 and all Fridays from 3/16/2018 to the end of the 2017-18 season. - Repair Shop Discounts: Show your pass and get $5 off tunes and 2-for-1 quick waxes. This will decrease the chances of having to be pulled on the flats by a friend. It’s a win-win.
