Welcome to Sierra's Snowsports School. We offer a wide range of options for all ages and all ability levels.

Learn a new sport, improve your technique, or explore new possibilities. Thanks to our world-class instructors and impressive terrain, learning to ski or ride at Sierra is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that can't be missed.

Sierra’s SMART TERRAIN® Program offers beginners an opportunity to experience the sport of skiing or snowboarding in an environment best suited for learning and improving skills. Our learning terrain, Easy Street, is 11 acres of sculpted terrain including gently banked turns and shaped features that naturally guide skiers and snowboarders into turns and stops so they are able to learn the fundamentals of skiing and riding more quickly. Two dedicated conveyor lifts make it a breeze to get up the hill, so beginners can focus on coming back down.

Children's Lessons are subject to availability. Walk-in's are limited. All walk-in's are not guaranteed a spot. Online reservations are encouraged.

Adult Learn to Ski/Snowboard Online Special

Ages: Adults

Ability Level: Beginner

For first time skiers or snowboarders who have never taken a lesson or beginners who are learning to ski or snowboard. Introductory lifts, dedicated beginner slopes and gentle terrain.

Adult All Mountain Group Lessons

Ages: Adults

Age Range: 13+

Ability Level: Intermediate Advanced

All Mountain Lessons cater to skiers and riders whose ability is anywhere between maintaining control on green circle terrain to looking to improve technique in powder, trees, bumps or the terrain parks.

Our NEW “Cubbie” Program is for 3-year-old children who are ready for an introduction to either skiing or snowboarding.

Pioneer Program Lessons (Ages 4-6)

Ages: Kids

Age Range: 4-6

Ability Level: Beginner Intermediate Advanced

The Pioneer program focuses on teaching skiers and snowboarders new skills, elevating confidence on more areas of the mountain, and having fun!

Explorer Program Lessons (Ages 7-12)

Ages: Kids

Age Range: 7-12

Ability Level: Beginner Intermediate Advanced

The Explorer program focuses on teaching skiers and snowboarders new skills, slope etiquette, equipment knowledge and begin to master new types of terrain + conditions.

Sierra Adaptive Lesson Program

Age Range: 3+

Ability Level: Beginner Intermediate

We are proud to offer adaptive lessons for both physical and intellectual disabilities. We have PSIA/AASI certified instructors in both children and adult lessons, skiing and snowboarding.
