Kirkwood to Sierra 4 Trees

SKI 4 THE TREES


Who: Telemark, free heelers split borders and backcountry
skiers with climbing skins and strong legs

What:  The redesigned Echo to Kirkwood race and tour from
Kirkwood Schneider Camp high trail to top of Sierra
at Tahoe. A true backcountry 11 mile tour on a
prepared and safe course to help Sierra at
Tahoe recover from Caldor Fire.100 registered skiers
and split boarders who make the initial climb on a
groomed trail up to LittleRound Top Cookie Station 1
in 2 hours will be delivering baby trees to Sierra.
You must get up to Cookie 1 in time to complete the
rest of the course or you will be turned around back
 to start. Those who make that climb will then ski
down to the Solstice for the finish by 4PM.
BBQ and awards will take place at 4:30PM.

When:  Sat., April 8th Meet at Solstice between 0600 and
0715 to pick up bib and chip for timing. Two buses
will depart Sierra at 0730 and you will be transported
to start at Schneider trailhead parking.
Race starts promptly at 0830.


Why:  Help raise donations for operation Rebound and
Challenged Athletes Foundation. Both are 5013c that
means it is a tax write off. Donations will help fund
the USA team of veterans and challenged athletes
who are training for the 2026 Winter Paralympics in
Cortina d’Ameszz Italy.

for $150 You will receive a confirmation email that
you need to bring to Sierra Solstice.
