Jamie Anderson is a professional snowboarder from South Lake Tahoe, California. Anderson won the gold medal in the inaugural Women's Slopestyle event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. She is also an eight-time X Games medalist, four of those gold, and three time TTR World Snowboarding Champion. Anderson has also won an ESPN ESPY. Anderson is known for her smooth style and variety of tricks. What can we say? Jamie is our homegrown girl. Sierra has been Jamie's home mountain since her very first turns. From grom to snowboard domination, we've followed our girl through X Games Golds, TTR Championships, signature Billabong outerwear lines, Rider of the Year, Dew Tour Championships, Burton Open Championships, and now Olympic Gold. In the midst of a hectic travel and contest season, we're happy to know that Jamie has a home at Sierra.

I grew up in Meyers and Sierra is so close. As a kid, I started riding because my sisters did. We rode together and chose Sierra because it’s the best!
So then what’s your favorite type of day at Sierra?
Blue-bird pow day!
How does being a Sierra-at-Tahoe local help your riding?
Just being able to ride at Sierra when ever I can and feeling so comfortable there- it makes all the difference.
You travel a ton - what’s your most memorable global excursion?
Japan, the snow is great and so is the food.
What do you think of contests? Do you prefer to film?
I just like to snowboard, so pretty much anything- film or contest. I just have fun!
