Snow keeps falling across the sierras and it's just the right recipe for continued park construction. The Alley is still rockin creative larger features and Bashful, now open from top to bottom, is one heck-of-a long park lap. There's three, yeah I said it, three jump lines surrounded by plenty of jibs. Here's a little insider taste: the wall ride returns any day. Look for it on Lower Bash.

Parks are Primed!
What's the best thing to do with 7 feet of snow after it's been slashed? Build parks, and that's precisely what we did. Between The Alley and Bashful, the parks are dialed. Jump lines from big to medium, jib varieties, the anticipated stair set, and the new Neff feature. What do you think? Fill out this park survey to let us know.

Workin the Road to Vancouver

Bring the Snow!
Cold temps + big low pressure system = 31" of awesome light pow...and even more is predicted.
The recent big storm has opened Grandview, meaning hot laps from the top! Side hits, pow slashes, droppin into Broadway park with your crew- it's all here at Sierra right now. With more snow to come, expect Progression Park to open shortly.
"Wait up guys!" Typical Sierra day: new snow, bluebird skies, and your best buds cruisin Grandview.

Rail JAMMIN!
High fives to team riders Scotty Hoffman and Jordan Nield for slaying the rail set up at this past weekend's South Shore Fitted rail jam. Scotty nailed second place and Jordan scored best trick.
Ready, Set, Prep
Brewing just over the western horizon is a storm that could bring Sierra 1, possibly 2, feet of snow. Opening day is so close we can feel it. Sierra has already planned the opening park on Broadway and the terrain park crew is working endlessly to ensure that the features are fresh. Dust off your jib stick, we'll see ya soon.

Friday, February 20th:
In case you've missed all the news, Jamie Anderson is on fire and dominating the women's snowboard scene. In the final leg of the Winter Dew Tour, Jamie's 5's, 3's, steezy poked back one's, and big jibs got her 1st place in women's slopestyle at Northstar. Yay Jamie!!

Even more on the team
These guys are giving me lots to chat (and smile) about. Just when the cloud of Jamie's accolades and Hannah's wins have begun to settle (she took first at the Grand Prix at Borreal!), Stacie stirs 'em up with a first place at the Cholula Triple Air! And get this: our youngest team ripper, Maddie Bowman, made it to both the Superpipe and Slopestyle finals at the Aspen Open. She stepped it up to that super intimidating X Games set up.
But let's not forget about The Circuit. Bashful is still rockin a killer setup and the "s" pipe is funtastic. The pictures and results are up from Open Circuit. Check out the good times!

Our team is on fire!
Just recently, Jamie Anderson was named TransWorld's Female Rider of the Year at the 10th Annual Rider's Poll Awards in Las Vegas. Jamie is definitely leaving her mark at just 18 years old.
And at the last event of X Games 13, Elijah Teter busted out an extremely impressive and technical run during the Superpipe Finals. He took 4th! Elijah's huge switch method airs are all the buzz.

See you at the Open Circuit contest on 1/31!!

The women’s Superpipe finals at Winter X saw some of the most progressive pipe runs in the sport. Sierra-at-Tahoe’s own Hannah Teter put together a flawless run with 5’s and 7’s to take the bronze. Congrats Hannah!

Even MORE props to Jamie Anderson. She's been nominated for TransWorld's 10th Annual Rider's and Reader's Poll Awards. Top 3 female rider of the year, wow!

Mad props to Jamie Anderson for taking 1st in Slopestyle at the Dew Tour in Mt. Snow this morning. See ya at Northstar in February Jamie!
Women's Slope Standings.

Jamie Anderson and Hannah Teter both took top qualifying spots in the Dew Tour prelims. Watch them rock it out today and tomorrow in slopestyle and pipe. Check out the results here.

Volcom PBRJ!
Saturday, Jan. 3rd was the Volcom PBRJ at Sierra-at-Tahoe. It was a little chilly, but with a rad setup from Terrain Parks and a turnout of 150+ kids, the skills and styles at this rail jam kept us toasty. Sierra Team rider Asa Martinez took second place in the Open Division making his home mountain and the host of this year's PBRJ tour kickoff very proud. I must say it again - the setup was sick! Check back to our photo gallery soon to see what park crew brewed up.

Frankie Jones plays in Bashful during its opening day.
The Circuit has arrived! Sierra-at-Tahoe has seen nearly 12 feet of snow and you know what that means - park building. Our devoted park builders and staff have built and shaped medium jumps and rails on Bashful with an opening today, Saturday. The triple jump line is flow-tastic, the rail section boasts street worthiness, and the down box will prompt new skills. This is just the beginning - more features will be added to Bashful and new parks will pop up shortly. Stay tuned to the Park Report for the latest details.

We're open with a bang! Thursday, December 18th was our official opening day. With sunny skies, top to bottom runs, and dry pow, it was an awesome way to kick off the year. Big cruiser runs from Grandview with side hits all over was the theme of the day and so was the double line park on Broadway. Flat boxes, down boxes, down rails, side-to-side c boxes, and stalls - the small and medium features couldn't be more fun. Big props to The Circuit and our park staff. The action doesn't stop here. The snow is falling hard once again and will continue as far as the eye can see.

Check it out: Sierra-at-Tahoe got blasted with a cold storm this past weekend and the snow is still falling. With over two feet of perfectly light snow, we will be opening on Thursday, December 18th with top to bottom runs. Grandview, here we come! And the best yet, we will open with about eight small and medium rail features on Broadway.
See you on Thursday,
Brooke
Looking to get nasty on something new in The Circuit? Keep a look out for brand new rails in our parks. Our massive down-flat-down is looking sweet with a lot of love from Terrain Park Supervisor JP. Our new and refurbed rails will be showcased in the first stop of the ’09 Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam tour on January 3rd. Entry is free and the set-up will be sick. Snowboarders, head to Volcom.com for early registration. Looking for other chances to strut your stuff?Stay tuned to SierraAtTahoe.com for the date announcement of our earliest rail jam, Open Circuit. With support from DC, Sessions, Option Snowboards, Nikita, Dragon, Dakine, and a killer park staff, this early season rail jam for snowboarders and skiers will ease your snow worries.
See you all soon,
Brooke

Our Pray for Snow party on Nov. 13th went off! The SPT mini ramp was totally legit- kids were lining up to drop in. All the while, the party was unfolding inside Murphy's Irish Pub with the DJ keeping everyone bouncing. Once the contests kicked off, the craziness really began. Between Frozen T Shirts, a bashful display of clothing exchange, impressive tattoo modeling, and the grand finale Snowcalling, it was obvious that this party drew all the South Lake personalities. A handful of contestants were stoked with prizes from Sessions, Flow, Powderhouse, Off the Hook, and a Sierra-at-Tahoe season pass. Even team member Cody Lewis was conned into entering the Cross Dress contest. It was a sick party and if crowds equall snowfall then we're in for a big year. Check out scenes from the party in our photo gallery.
See you on the hill soon,
Brooke
Ladies and gentlemen, there is white stuff on the ground. While you were tricking and treating this past Halloween weekend, mother nature was gifting us with up to 3" of snow. The skies still haven't cleared and the National Weather Service is calling for continued winter weather. More snow in the forecast? We sure hope so. And if our wishes are granted then stay tuned for Sierra-at-Tahoe® Resort's Open Circuit -- an early-season rail jam to kickoff the 08/09 season with a positive charge.

Team member Colby Albino will be representing Sierra this weekend at the Esurance Icer Air big-air competition in downtown San Francisco. Up against some of skiing and snowboarding's biggest names, Colby is “excited for this big jump-start to his winter season.” We wish Colby the best and we're proud that he's representing Sierra-at-Tahoe!
Winter is on its way! The Farmer's Almanac is calling for a better than average annual snowfall this winter. Stay tuned for opening day announcements. Don't forget to purchase your Double Whammy Season Pass, and get ready to ride!
Reminisce last year's fun by checking out photos and videos from the 07.08 season!
On June 21, 2008 - National Go Skateboarding Day - Sierra Resort hosted a skate session and the Oh My Gollie, Let's Ollie! contest at Opening Days Lake Tahoe. Check out the video. Everybody had a great time!
