Know Your Gear -  Ride Safe.  Here is your check-list:

1.  Check your bases - Look for any damage puncturing the base material.  Your base should be smooth and free of scratches and indentations. If your base is dry, it needs wax.
 
2.  Check your edges – Your edges should be sharp and free of abrasions.

3.  Check your top sheet – Look for any breaches or peeling.  If water gets under the sheet, damage to the underlying wood can occur.

4.  Check your bindings – Make sure there are no loose or broken parts, missing screws or broken ratchets.

5.  Check you settings – Put on your boots and step into your bindings.  Do they fit?  Are the dins set where you want them?  If you need adjustments, make sure to take your gear to a certified ski and snowboard technician. The pros will make sure you are set up correctly.

6.  Does it all fit?   Have you grown? Is your helmet the right size?  Are you poles long enough?
