Media Lift Ticket Policy

 

 

Sierra-at-Tahoe® Resort welcomes members of the media to experience authentic California skiing and snowboarding. A personal visit is a great way to get better acquainted with the mountain and the people that create the unique Sierra vibe. We'll be happy to show you around, address any questions, and help ensure you have a memorable stay with us. If necessary, we can arrange tours, interviews and participation in other resort activities during your visit.

 

Sierra Resort extends complimentary skiing and snowboarding privileges to members of the media that come to the resort on assignment, and to those journalists that use Sierra Resort’s press kits, press releases, and snow reports for publication. For those who are visiting, but not on assignment, Sierra Resort offers a discounted lift ticket. Our apologies but we cannot extend complimentary or discounted passes to children, spouses or other guests. This program is for our media contacts only.

 

To arrange for complimentary lift tickets please follow these guidelines:

 

  • Please e-mail your request at least 2 days in advance to Kirstin Cattell and Jessica VanPernis at tahoepr@boothcreek.com.

  • Please include a detailed letter of assignment from the publication or media outlet that includes the focus of your story, the date of your visit, your phone number, as well as any additional requests, (interviews, supplemental information, etc.) so that we may expedite your request.

  • If you are a freelance or contributing writer, please include the name of the publication you are writing for, as well as the assigning editor’s name, e-mail address and phone number with the letter of assignment. If you do not have an assignment but plan to shop your article out to a few publications, please let us know which publications you will be targeting as well as which publications you’ve contributed to in the recent past.

  • For those who do not provide 2 days notice, we cannot guarantee that passes will be available.

Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Vertical Plus office in the main lodge. Please plan on presenting valid media identification.
