  1. Purchase the Sierra 3-Pak and ski as low as $49 per day

  2. Arrive early and leave before 3:00 p.m. or after 6:00 p.m. to beat the crowds
Arrive early and get closer parking spots, best selection of rental gear and fresh tracks!  The Sierra rental shops open at 8:30 a.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays.  If you don't leave before 3:00 p.m., we recommend heading over to the Pub to enjoy Happy Hour specials and wait out the traffic.

  3. Take advantage of Sierra ™ Resort’s free shuttle service or carpool
Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort’s shuttles stop at many hotels and casino properties on the South Shore. For a list of pick-up times and locations, guests can visit the Shuttle Services page for more information.
Carpool with someone you know or make new friends.  Either way you save gas, carbon emission and a whole lot of money.

  4. Reserve children’s lessons and day care online in advance to save time and be more prepared!
Children’s lessons and daycare spots do fill up quickly so be sure to make a reservation online or call 530.543.3150 to guarantee a spot.  The Wild Mountain children’s center can be reached at 530.659.7453 x270.

  5. Ski More, Wait Less with the Fast Pass Priority Lane Ticket or Vertical Plus
    • Fast Pass Priority Lane Ticket:
Don't waste any time waiting in lift lines! Access the priority "Fast Pass" lane with a one-day Fast Pass ticket for only $20 sold at any ticket window. A valid lift ticket or season pass is also required.
Vertical Plus Membership:  Members can earn great awards for skiing/riding as well as access priority lift lines and enjoy other great member benefits!

  6. Utilize the preferred parking lots
Park just steps from the slopes and avoid having to carry gear from the outer reaches of the parking lots with Sierra Resort’s preferred parking, available for just $15 per day. or $99 for the season with a parking season pass.  Guests who drive hybrid vehicles up to Sierra Resort will be able to park in Preferred Parking for FREE!

  7. Eat lunch before 11:00 a.m. or after 2:00 p.m. and eat at on-mountain restaurants
The lunch rush tends to occur during the noon hours so it is best to avoid that time frame. Also, the base area restaurants tend to attract more people than the on-mountain restaurants such as the West Bowl and Grandview restaurants, so head there for grand views and great food.  Try the mouth-watering pulled pork sandwiches at the NEW 360° Smokehouse BBQ atop Grandview with its breathtaking views!

  8. Take Advantage of Afternoon Rates
Double Whammy passholders with holiday blackout dates can purchase full-day lift tickets at the afternoon rates.
Any ticket holder can turn in their lift ticket by 12:30 p.m. and get $10 off next visit.  You’ll get home before the crowds and get a deal on your next trip!

  9. Use $1 Overnight Ski/Snowboard Check
Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort offers overnight ski & snowboard check service for only $1!

  10. Take advantage of Early Bird Private Lessons and Save.
Start the day off right with a private lesson, and then spend the rest of the day practicing what you learned. Our Early Bird Special is from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. (9:00 - 10:00 a.m. non-holiday) for only $69.  Those who take advantage of the Early Bird Special can enjoy freshly groomed slopes with no crowds.   For information or reservations please call 530.543.3150.
