Good things for parents to know

Dress child appropriate for weather, layers are best.

Be sure your child has eye protection (goggles for snowy days and sunglasses for sunny days).

Retail items are available at the Wild Mountain Children's Center.

Bib and Helmet rentals are available at the Wild Mountain Children's Center.

Be sure they have had a good night’s rest and breakfast.

Your child will be placed in a group according to their age and ability level. Although you will make a preliminary assessment, final placement is with consideration of the safety of your child and other class members.

Be sure to arrive early.

Child and Parent Friendly Programs
Sierra-at-Tahoe® Resort makes a family ski trip easy on the pocketbook with daily children’s value pricing. Children four and younger ski/ride for FREE. Check the daily tickets page for daily lift ticket rates for children 5 - 12.

Parent Predicament Lift Ticket- Two parents, one lift ticket. As one parent takes a few runs, the other stays with the child until it is time to trade duties. The parent predicament lift ticket is only a few dollars more than an adult full-day lift ticket.

Preferred Parking - Sierra realizes that a family’s workout should take place on the mountain rather than in the parking lot, which is why a portion of the resort’s parking lot is blocked off for preferred parking, streamlining the arrival and departure process for busy families. Early arrival on weekends and holidays is recommended to ensure a prime spot. Preferred parking season passes are available for $149 (limited quantities available). Normally $15 per day, guests break even after just ten visits.
