Project Green Sierra Mission statement

• Our mission is to involve all stakeholders of the resort in initiatives that will increase appreciation, awareness and, most importantly, action toward conservation of our environment so that we may all see tangible results from our behaviors. 
• These initiatives will reach out to everyone affiliated with our company, from the owners to the end users.  The stakeholders that will benefit from Sierra Resort’s environmental initiatives are:
  • Local, State and Federal Agencies who know Sierra-at-Tahoe® Resort as a true partner and as an industry leader when it comes to taking direct action toward conserving the mountain environment
  • Employees who are empowered to participate in the environmental education of guests and of themselves and who benefit from direct participation in environmentally-sensitive behavior
  • Guests who tell us that the environment is at the top of their priority list and they want to support businesses who are taking action
  • Local Community who rely on Sierra Resort to set an example for other businesses to follow
