SIERRA-AT-TAHOE® RESORT OPEN FOR SKIING AND RIDING
12 to 17 Inches of Snow and It’s Still Coming Down
Snow fall at Sierra™ Resort since Thursday morning has reached 12 to 14 inches, allowing the groomers to lay down a layer of corduroy and the park crew to set up terrain features on the lower mountain. Two lifts will access three beginner runs beginning at 9:00 a.m. on December 8, 2007.
Early season lift tickets are available for just $35 for adults, young adults and seniors and $10 for super seniors and children ages five through 12 (under five ski for free). Beginner lessons and daycare will be available.
The snow is expected to continue to fall throughout the day and into the evening. Storm totals measured at 1:00 p.m. today reached 17 inches at elevation 8,852 feet. Temperatures are mild and winds are calm. CalTrans is working steadily on the roads to keep them clear for the weekend.
