JAIME ANDERSON WINS GLOBAL SNOWBOARDING COMPETITION

Sierra-at-Tahoe® Resort’s Homegrown Phenom Dominates Once Again

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE , Calif. – April 7, 2008 – Jaime Anderson has clinched the title of 2007-2008 Ticket To Ride Champion by placing first in the final Roxy Chicken Jam competition of the season. The win gave her the edge she needed to rise above a tough field of other female snowboarders competing in the Swatch Ticket To Ride World Snowboard Tour.

With this win, Jaime Anderson, a 17-year old South Lake Tahoe local who claims Sierra™ Resort as her home mountain, cements her place as one of the top female snowboarders in the world. Her global domination began down under at the Australian Open last summer and continued as she stomped through the Roxy Chicken Jam in Austria , the European Open in Switzerland , the Nippon Open, the Grand Prix and the U.S. Open in Vermont , and the final Roxy Chicken Jam in California .

Anderson has spent a record 20 weeks of her career as the number one female snowboarder in the world, according to TTR. The next closest female rider has only spent 12 weeks at the top.

Anderson commands almost every slopestyle competition she enters. During the winter of 2007-2008, she took enough time away from the Ticket To Ride World Snowboard Tour to win the Winter X Games 12 gold medal for the second year running. Her snowboard racing background, honed at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort and USASA competitions, is the foundation of her slopestyle brilliance.

“Jaime stomps all of her landings. It’s why she is able to dominate so many competitions. Not only does she have incredible style and the guts to go bigger than anyone else, but she also has the fundamental skills that enable her to execute tricks with precision,” commented John Rice, General Manager of Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort. “We are, once again, so proud of Jaime. She has taken the snowboarding world by storm this winter and we send her all the love we have. Good job, Jaime.”
