Don't miss Sierra-at-Tahoe® Resort’s legendary Pray for Snow Party this year on November 12, 2009 at Murphy's Irish Pub! Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for some good ol' fashioned debauchery.
What:Winter worshippers will have a chance to win great prizes (lift tickets, gear, gift certificates and a Sierra Resort season pass) in the Snowcalling contest– the flagship event of the evening.
Participants are encouraged to perform their best snow ritual in the hopes that Mother Nature will hear their call and bless Lake Tahoe with a bounty of snowfall for the upcoming season. Local singers, dancers, musicians, yodelers, rappers, poets and all other talents are welcome to participate in this outrageous event, judged by Sierra Resort team riders and friends. Participants are judged on volume, audience participation and creativity. The winning snow call receives a 2010 Sierra-at-Tahoe season pass! Winners from the other contest will win gear from DC, Skull Candy, Nikita, Vex, Opal, and Powderhouse.
Where:Murphy's Irish Pub (Rockwater Bar & Restaurant) in South Lake Tahoe, CA. (Mapquest Driving Directions)
When:The legendary kickoff-to-winter begins at 7:00 p.m. with a live DJ spinning tunes from the back deck to keep the party bumpín' all night long. And show off your moves on the SPT mini ramp. Anyone can skate, helmets of course are required, and waivers will have to be signed so those under 18 will need a parent’s signature.
At 6:00 p.m., doors will open for Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort and Double Whammy ® season pass holders only (season pass or proof of pass purchase must be shown). Murphy's Irish Pub and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort will sponsor free appetizers and drinks, as a token of appreciation to all loyal passholders. At 7:00 p.m., doors open to the general public. Dinner service will be available in the restaurant. All contests are scheduled to take place between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Skiers and riders will also be able to purchase season passes on-site during the party. |
