Additional info on wines to be poured:
2010 Madroña Blanc de Blancs - This estate-grown Chardonnay is the first sparkling wine produced in the El Dorado appellation. Wonderfully dry, the palate is bright with lemon/citrus fruit and a vibrant finish. It’s a beautiful opening wine for any great special occasion.
2009 Signature Zinfandel - This classic expression of high-elevation Zinfandel is dense with dark cherry and blackberry characters with notes of clove and pepper spice. Ideally suited for grilled meats and spicy sauces, this Zin will pair well with the Smokehouse 360’s bbq ribs and bbq chicken (and the sweet potato fries).
2006 Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon - Unfiltered and unfined, this very special bottling of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon embraces the El Dorado’s unique terroir of this great variety. Ripe cherry and cassis fill the texturally rich and complex palate. Only 48 cases of this wine were produced in 2006. Enjoy this wine with the Smokehouse 360’s brisket and tri-tip.
1999 Reserve Syrah - Aging perfectly in magnums, the ’99 Reserve Syrah has a gloriously silky palate and an amazing balance. Smoky and gamy in nature, this is a cool-climate expression of Syrah that only El Dorado seems to be able to do. Pair this with the tri-tip and watch how the meat and wine each bring characters out of the other!
2002 New-World Port - This blend of 7 Portuguese varieties we grow in our vineyards. With 10 years of age, the different varieties have married into a seamless wine of blueberry, cherry and nutmeg spice. Ideal with heavy cheese like blue and Stilton, this wine is the perfect finish to a wonderful winter day.
